Resort Information
Nerja is a perfect picture town on Spain's southern coast, where the cliffs lead down to the sparkling water of the Mediterranean Sea. In the numerous coves you will find a wealth of fantastic beaches ranging from the deserted to the lively. The whitewashed buildings add to the character and the charm of the area, which offers a huge choice of activities. Our accommodation offered is in Nerja itself or in Frigiliana, a hilltop whitewashed village of moorish houses with iron balconies and cascading flowers. Frigiliana is just 6km or 10 minutes' bus ride from the town of Nerja and the beach.
Our Opinion
• A pretty spot on the coast with a different style to many of its famous neighbours • Full of original character with cobbled streets and cliff side paths • Perched on a cliff above an excellent choice of beaches • The centrepiece is a palm tree-lined promenade called 'El Balcon de Europa' which offers lovely views of the coast • A visit to the famous 'cuevas de Nerja' (caves) is a must • Explore the beaches, swimming in the warm water and enjoying a delicious paella lunch
