Resort Information
Nestling on the Adriatic and surrounded by hills draped in vines, olive and cypress trees, Portoroz is Slovenia’s premier coastal resort. Just around the corner is the coastal jewel, Piran, the birth place of the Italian violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini. Steeped in history and exuding charm, Piran is characterised by narrow twisting alleyways, hidden courtyards and an impressive square and cathedral. At the nearby Salinera resort in Strunjan, both Piran and Portoroz are easily reached by a short bus ride. All of these wonderful resorts enjoy a warm and temperate climate.

Getting About
Regular bus services run between Piran, Portoroz, Strunjan and port of Koper, as well as to some of the neighbouring resorts in Croatia.
Strollers
Take a stroll along the seafront between Piran and Portorož and admire the spectacular views, perfect in the early evening as the sun starts to set and the sky glows an awesome array of colours. Or wander through red pine woods, or to the salt pans on the way to Secovlje.
Ramblers
Discover some excellent paths that access a picturesque Mediterranean landscape. Stumble upon vineyards and inhale the scents of lavender and rosemary bushes dotted on the hillsides.
