Venture inland and explore the mountain ranges within Ucka National Park, opening up a wide range of walking or take a boat out to one of the many islands of the Adriatic Sea to witness the true splendour of Croatia. Getting About
A frequent bus service operates from Opatija to nearby coastal cities of Rijeka and Pula as well as inland to mountain towns and villages.
Strollers
Opatija's seafront promenade is the perfect place for a stroll. Then wander around the beautiful and exotic gardens and parks Opatija has to offer.
Ramblers
There are some excellent walks in Ucka National Park, with a wide variety of marked trails through nature reserves or to elevated plateaux with spectacular views.
Hikers
Various more challenging trails lead from Lovran, taking you high up into the Ucka mountain ranges.
