Resort Information
The charming village of Westendorf was once voted The Prettiest Village in Europe and it's easy to see why! Idyllic and tranquil, with friendly local people and beautiful scenery you can be sure of a relaxing break. If you are feeling more active there's a splendid outdoor pool complex and wonderful walking trails. Local traditions are still very much alive in the village with festivals and parades part of everyday summer life.
In Westendorf the pace is relaxed, the local people warm and hospitable and the atmosphere tranquil. Sit back and take in the scenery, or slowly stroll through the gently rolling meadows and wooded slopes along the valley towards neighbouring Kirchberg. If you are feeling more active, this is a great place for walking and cycling.

Getting About
A 7 day Bergwelt Walkers' Pass is available locally for approx. £29. This allows unlimited use of 13 lifts in the local area (please note: some lifts may not open until mid-June). Other durations are available. There are local bus services from Westendorf to Hopfgarten (10 mins), Wörgl (30 mins) and Kitzbühel (40 mins). From Westendorf station there are train services to Innsbruck and Munich.
Strollers
Westendorf has many gentle paths through woods, by streams, or along the valley to Brixen. At the top of the Alpenrosen gondola there is an easy circular walk for families around the Choralpe with games and activities to try out along the way.
Ramblers
The Alpenrose gondola in Westendorf give access to 550km of walking paths in the Bergwelt area area for some harder walks including panoramic trails to traditional mountain huts, waterfalls and wonderful mountain views.
Hikers
Westendorf has some challenging long distance routes as well as hikes up to the surrounding mountain peaks.
