Getting About
St. Anton is situated on the main railway line giving easy access to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tirol, as well as Bregenz on Lake Constance close to the Swiss and German borders. The opening dates of summer lifts vary. The first open in mid-June (Gampen and Kapall). Prior to late-June the resort is very quiet. Some facilities, including the leisure centre and buses, may not be operating.
Strollers
There is an easy walk through the village and also to the Ferwall reservoir, following along the Rosanna Gorge. The Sonnenweg and Jakobweg paths pass through colourful meadows too.
Ramblers
There are a wide range of enjoyable walks to the Tritschalpe, Rendlalp, Putzenalp and to the Konstanzerhutte.
Hikers
From the Valugagrat cable car station a path leads eastwards to the Leutkircherhutte, a route where experienced walkers can enjoy some excellent views. Superb walks also lead westward towards Zürs and Lech.
